Do not tolerate discrimination
"Equal rights for all"? Yes, of course, it goes without saying! Unfortunately, the reality sometimes looks different. Then discrimination occurs - often quite unintentionally - on the basis of ethnic or social origin, religion or belief, gender, disability or chronic illness, or even age. Discrimination then leads to disadvantages, for example in the form of disrespectful or unequal treatment. Sexually determined behaviour can also lead to discrimination by violating one's dignity in verbal or non-verbal form.
Support in a confidential setting
If you experience discrimination or harassment during your studies for the reasons mentioned above, you can contact the h_da's discrimination complaints office. Here you will receive confidential advice on support options and your rights, but you can also make use of your right to complain.
Anti-discrimination policy of the h_da
The h_da has adopted its own anti-discrimination policy, which clearly regulates how discrimination is dealt with at the university. If you have witnessed a discriminatory incident, you can also contact the anti-discrimination office.
