Learning on campus

Would you like to meet up with fellow students to study together or work on your next exam in peace and quiet at an individual workstation? Then use the study and work rooms at the h_da.

Some departments have their own learning centres - for example, the Department of Architecture or the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering - but in any case, there are learning and work rooms for you as students of the department. The departmental student councils also often offer rooms for studying and working. Just ask your department or student council.

On the Haardtring campus, within walking distance of the central campus, there are a number of student study and work rooms in building A 10 that can be used freely by all students. The rooms are open during a regular semester from Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 20:00 and on Saturdays from 8:00 to 18:00.

In addition, you will find numerous workplaces and study rooms in all the sub-libraries during regular university operation. In addition to the study rooms in the departments, they are a good alternative for learning on campus. You can find the current opening hours of the library sections on the library website.

In the high-rise building on the central campus you will find the Glaskasten on the ground floor. This is where one of the student cafés is located: the Café Glaskasten. You can also use the Glaskasten to study and work outside of the café's opening hours during regular university hours. This is expressly encouraged. The Glaskasten is open during regular university opening hours from Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
