It's all in the mix
The digitalization of studies has been a topic at the h_da for years, but with Corona it has gained a lot of momentum. In a very short time, face-to-face courses had to be converted to online courses: Lectures were streamed live, seminars were offered with video conferencing tools such as BigBlueButton or Zoom, and office hours were held virtually. Of course, many hope that lectures will soon be able to take place in full presence on campus again. At the same time, however, there is also the wish that a good bit of digital studying will remain after the crisis.
Get to know Moodle
The Moodle learning platform has an important supporting function and you will come across it again and again during your studies. So familiarise yourself with it as early as possible. You can find Moodle at lernen.h-da.de. There, you log in with your h_da user password and enrol in the Moodle courses that belong to the courses you are attending.
Has a lot to offer
Here you will find materials, tips and further information on the course content, possibly also electronic tests to check your level of knowledge, wikis, forums or video recordings of lectures (e-lectures).
Numerous Moodle courses on courses
The courses are set up by the lecturers themselves. In the meantime, there is an accompanying Moodle course for almost all courses. Most courses have a password that you receive from the responsible lecturer at the beginning of the semester.
There is also an exam Moodle
More and more teachers are also conducting electronic exams to determine grades. For this reason, there is now an exam Moodle at the h_da. A room specially set up for electronic exams in the new student house will offer space for up to 70 participants.
You can find more information about digital studying on the e-learning website. There you will also find the information course for students "Digitaler Einstieg ins Semester".
