Studying

Recognition

Training, work experience or a change of university?

What do you bring to your studies? Motivation, curiosity, desire to study? Yes, of course! Maybe even an apprenticeship, work experience or a few semesters at another university?

Do you have a previous life?

The h_da sees you as a whole personality. This includes your past life, which sometimes hides a few valuable takeaways. Under certain conditions, achievements from other universities or professionally acquired skills can be credited to your studies. A separate recognition statute guarantees fair rules and procedures for everyone.

Pay attention to the specific requirements

There are two things you should keep in mind: The competences you bring with you must correspond to those specified in the module handbook of your degree programme. And you must not yet be registered for an examination in the module that is to be replaced. The examination board of your degree programme will advise you on how to apply, what the concrete requirements are and what the individual steps look like. Here you will find an up-to-date list of the examination board chairpersons of the departments and degree programmes in the summer semester 2023.
