Sometimes part-time study helps
Your studies may be a full-time job, but if you have other responsibilities on the side, such as looking after children, family members in need of care, or you need to earn the family income, it can be difficult. If you are considering part-time study, there are a few things to keep in mind.
Find out what applies to your degree programme
Part-time studies can only be taken up within the standard period of study and may not last longer than twice the standard period of study. It's best to check the examination regulations for your degree programme first, because some examination regulations generally exclude part-time study.
Get advice
In any case, you must apply for part-time studies at the Student Service Centre, providing the necessary proof for each semester and within the re-registration deadline. If you do not want to study part-time permanently, but only for one or two semesters, this is very helpful. However, it is best to get advice from the Student Service Centre before you submit your application.
Further information on part-time studies can be found on the Webseiten of the Student Service Center.
