Then the Formula Student Team Darmstadt (FaSTDa Racing) is the perfect place for you. The versatile student project at the h_da offers you the opportunity to become part of an incomparable team!
From the initial idea to the race track
Year after year, students from a wide range of disciplines work towards the common goal of taking a formula racing car from the initial idea to the racetracks of Europe. Together with more than 50 like-minded people from, for example, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering or online communication, they not only work full of motivation and zest for action, but also experience, laugh and learn a lot.
Electric drive and autonomous system
In addition to the construction of the racing car, the team's current focus is also on the development of an electric drive train and an autonomous system. However, students who are more commercially-minded are not neglected at Formula Student either, for example in the development and elaboration of a business plan. You can also expand your knowledge for your studies and your future professional life in training courses or practical work.
Barcelona, Spielberg, Hockenheim
Now you want to be part of the FaSTDa team and help build the first electric Formula Student car from FaSTDa Racing? Anything is possible, because despite corona-related restrictions, FaSTDa Racing is allowed to work on the race car thanks to a well-developed concept. And although the traditional races had to be cancelled in 2020, the team traditionally takes part in three international events. On renowned tracks such as Barcelona, Spielberg or Hockenheim, economic aspects are evaluated in addition to the performance of the car. The team was able to celebrate several successes this year as well, including two first places with the business plan as well as other podium finishes in various disciplines of the vehicle, such as third place in the autocross in the Czech Republic.
