Studying

CAMPUSCARD – ONE FOR (ALMOST) EVERYTHING

Accompanies you through your studies

The CampusCard is your student ID for the entire duration of your studies. You must revalidate your CampusCard in good time before each semester, i.e., extend its validity. As soon as you have paid your semester fee, you can extend your CampusCard at one of the (re-) validation printers. After you have transferred the semester fee, you can track via my.h-da.de when you can renew your CampusCard at one of the (re-)validation printers.

More than just a student ID card

The CampusCard is not only your student ID, but also a payment card in the canteens or halls of residence (for the washing machines), a library card, your semester ticket for the RMV public transport system, a cultural ticket for free admission to the theatre and the Landesmuseum (State Museum Darmstadt), and you can show it as proof of eligibility for discounts. So, it can be quite a lot!

The CampusCard with the note RMV-AStA-Semesterticket is valid together with a valid identity card as a ticket in the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV). You can find detailed information about the semester ticket, its area of validity, connecting tickets and bicycle transport here.

The CampusCard also works as a card for paying in the canteens and halls of residence. You will find stations for topping up your credit in the entrance area of the canteens.

After you have activated the ID function of your CampusCard in one of the h_da libraries, you can use your card for borrowing. The library function is activated at the service counters of the libraries.

Once activated, the chip integrated in the CampusCard serves as a key to some rooms and areas of the university. To activate the chip, please contact the Dean's Office of your department.

Would you like a little culture?

Free and unlimited admission to a total of four theatres in Darmstadt? No problem, your CampusCard can do that too. As long as there are still free seats, you can enjoy opera, drama, dance theatre, recitals or readings at the Staatstheater, Theater Mollerhaus, Theater im Pädagog and HoffART Theater. Special events, premieres and guest performances are usually excluded from the offer, but you can get free tickets for most events.

Free theatre tickets - it's easy

If you want to attend a performance at the Staatstheater, you can create a customer account in the Staatstheater webshop and then get a voucher that is valid for the whole semester either at the theatre box office or through the AStA. On presentation of the voucher, you will then receive free tickets three days before the actual event. At the other three theatres, you can pick up your tickets directly at the ticket offices - but only three days in advance. Detailed information on the procedure can be found on the AStA pages on the Kulturticket.

To the Landesmuseum for free

With the CampusCard you can also get into the Landesmuseum Darmstadt for free! Just show your CampusCard at the ticket office and discover the treasures of the museum - whether permanent or special exhibitions.

Who invented it? Your AStA

By the way: the Kulturticket (formerly known as the Theaterticket), which has now been successfully in existence for more than twenty years, is, along with the Semesterticket, also an invention of the AStA of Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and has found many imitators throughout Germany.

Discount on tickets, popcorn and nacho menu

On presentation of your CampusCard, you will receive a discount at the cinemas Kinopolis Darmstadt and Citydome Darmstadt. In addition, you will receive a discount on a popcorn or nacho menu upon presentation of your CampusCard.
